If you get in line early you'll get a good spot. To get a
great spot-- by the river-- you have to get in line
real early--like, a couple days early. But if you arrive Thursday afternoon you'll get a good spot. There's really not many bad spots, unless you arrive Friday at noon. Then you'll be camping next to the port-a-potties.
Welcome to the Folks Fest! You'll love it. Some other tips: bring warm clothes for the night, it gets cool at night. But hot during the day, so bring sunscreen. It will likely rain one of the 3 afternoons, so bring an umbrella, raincoat, etc. You'll need festival chairs-- the kind that sit low to the ground. Tall chairs are allowed in the back only.
