So can you list the ten sets, in order, that you are most eagerly anticipating?  Hard to narrow it to ten, but I'll start:

1.  Robert Plant & Band of Joy
2.  Telluride House Band
3.  Emmylou Harris
4.  Mumford & Sons
5.  Bela Fleck & the Flecktones
6.  The Decemberists
7.  Infamous Stringdusters
8.  Steve Earle
9.  Sarah McLachlin
10.  Darrell Scott & Friends

The more I listen, the more this changes.

I'm going to "Top Ten" it with a qualifier that these are the 10 acts I'm most excited about seeing this year, not necessarily my ten favorites!

1. Telluride House Band (they will always top my "most excited to see" TBF list)
2. Thile / Daves -- that record is pure FIRE.
3. Darrell Scott
4. Steve Earle -- his new one is very good from what I've heard of it so far
5. Yonder Mt. String Band
6. Decemberists
7. Punch Brothers
8. Edgar Meyer (solo bass)
9. Trampled By Turtles
10. Railroad Earth

Numbers 1 through 10: Darrell Scott and Friends.

Now, to complete the actual assignment:

1) Darrell Scott and Friends
2) Robert Plant and Band of Joy (which includes Darrell Scott Cheers)
3) Sam Bush
4) House Band
5) Tim O'Brien and Kevin Burke
6) Steve Earle
7) Michael Cleveland and Flamekeeper
8) Jerry Douglas featuring Omar Hakim and Victor Krauss (Omar Hakim is the best drummer I've ever heard, and as a drummer myself, I simply can't wait to see him again)
9) Tim O'Brien Band
10) Trampled By Turtles

Honorable mention (I really wanted to include these guys)
Stringdusters
Peter Rowan
Bela Fleck and the Flecktones
Emmit-Nershi
Yonder kick off
Mumford and Sons
Railroad Earth (If I hadn't seen them twice this year already, they'd be in the top 4 or 5)
The Decemberists

This was really hard.

This changes every day....but today, I can give a very different list than anyone else:

1.  The Head and The Heart
2.  Jerry Douglas (see Hot sugar's Comments)
3.  Darrell Scott & Friends
4.  Stringdusters
5.  TBT
6.  Troubador ('cause it'll be Pete!)
7.  Abigail Washburn
8.  Joe Pug
9.  The Original Flecktones
10.  Emmitt-Nershi

I had to bump Tim to make room for the Troubador.  So if the Troubador is NOT Pete, replace #6 with Tim.
