Gasbuddy.com made me sad.  My carbon footprint is supposedly over 400 lbs. even though I'm driving a Geo.  I'm gonna have to see if someone wants to carpool, but I don't know anyone going to the show.  If anyone one is on the Walsenburg, Alamosa, Pagosa, Durango, Dolores route and needs a ride, I plan on driving Tuesday, spending the night in Dolores (Rio Grande Southern Hotel), and heading over Lizard Head on Wednesday morning.

I should say that I don't feel so guilty when I think about the fact that I live half a mile from my job, often walk to work, and my wife works at home.  We leave town maybe once every couple of months.

My carbon footprint will be 1,844, or 922 per person. Frown

But to answer your question, I'll be traveling plenty green  Evil  Cheers

edited to add that my daily commute consists of a train ride, 6 miles of biking and 2 miles of walking. I don't feel so bad now.

Yikes...  Over 3000 miles round trip. My gas bill is going to be almost 250$ more this year than last, that kinda hurts. You don't even want to see my carbon footprint  EEK!

At least I live off grid at home and my workplace (3 miles away) is 80% solar powered, with the only battery backup system in Marin county, maybe all of northern California  Flower

Here is the $5.00 offset through planet bluegrass, but I am not sure how many lbs of footprint this offsets huh

Edit:
According to the Carbonfund.org Calculators it costs about 10 bucks per ton of offset. I don't know anything about the reliability of carbonfund.org, but seems like a good starting point to look at ways to offset your trip at the very least.

Will trade some NooBeads at the Newbie party for some offsets.  I am plane pooling from Charlotte to Denver with 200 plus people.  Then plane pooling to Montrose with a handful.
 Cheers
