I was sad to see that the Decembrists' accordion/keyboard player will not be with them for "May and June dates" because she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. More here:

Thoughts go out for a full and speedy recovery.

It is good in the respect that the cancer was caught early. The one thing everyone should remember, especially Jenny and anyone else that hears the dreaded word cancer, is that it is NOT a death sentence anymore. If there is anything that a patient needs to hear over and over, it's that one fact.

In many cases MUSIC and Laughter are the keys to treatment being successful!  Medal

KICK BUTT JENNY!!!!!!!!!!!  Thumbs Up

Well said Hope...Brian and I were lucky enough to see Jenny with the Decemberists in St. Lou last month and they were great.  She will be greatly missed but I'm confident she'll be back before we know it and in a better place.  I do hope someone is able to step in for her during her absence as she and Sarah Watkins soared beautifully on several songs and they had a great time banging their respective drums.  I'm sure Jenny would want that to continue.

Let us learn to appreciate there will be times when the trees will be bare, and look forward to the time when we may pick the fruit.
