hey guys,
this is my first time going to Telluride...I've been to many festivals but this one seems to be a little different the way it's all setup.  Me & My gf bought our tickets but then we couldn't get camping tickets so i'm pretty confused about that, and then we will need a vehicle pass too, correct? Then what about the late night sets, do you have to get tickets for that too? Sorry to lay all these questions on ya, but i want to know what is going on. I can't wait for one of the best lineups i've laid eyes on.

Hope you can help,
Andrew

You do need either camping or a room somewhere. A vehicle pass is only needed if you have townpark camping and are staying in an rv. Late night or nightgrass shows require additional tickets.

If you want to camp, you still can, but it will involve a bit more re: logistics & driving.   There are other campgrounds in the region & NFS land all over the place ... so you can find a "non TBF" spot to camp, but it will also involve driving (most likely 20 minutes minimum) & parking up in the mountain village every morning.

South of Telluride there's Sunshine, Matterhorn, Trout Lake, Lizard Head Pass ... there's also woods lake further down valley from telluride toward fall creek (take the fall creek road south off the main highway 7 miles south).

It's doable, but you have to be careful about being able to drive a fair bit more ... add nightgrass into the mix & it can be a lot.

I camped at Lizard Head Pass in 2003.  It was great!  We just pulled our camper off the road about a 1/4 mile and stayed there all weekend..it was FREE!

If you want to stay in a Planet Bluegrass campground, your best bet would be to post something in the ticket exchange and check the returned tickets every Tuesday at noon (MST). http://shop.bluegrass.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=93
As far as vehicle passes, you can get them for many of the camp sights but they are only needed if you are going to camp in your car.

To specify about the extra tickets, nothing you see on the current line up will require any ticket other than the ones you've already got. The nightgrass announcements will be coming out later and those will require extra tickets. When it comes to nightgrass, don't hesitate to buy tickets. The last time Emmit-Nershi played, I believe they sold out in a matter of minutes. They go fast so be ready to jump on them as soon as they go on sale.

Yes usually Salmon, Yonder, Emmit Nershi or Taxi tix go quick. There is an all access nightgrass tic that is the holy grail!
