Does anyone happen to have any info about who Bela's going to be touring with on his February Africa Project tour? I'm thinking particularly the Oxford, MS, date -- which worries me anyway but is the closest he's coming! :-)

Thanks,
Zack

Zack,
Do you know about www.belafleck.com ????
I found the following on the "Home" page. It's only part of a "Fall Letter" from Bela Fleck...

"There will be a 'Throw Down Your Heart ' tour in February and March.
We will be bringing over musicians from Africa who were in the movie and the recordings of 'Throw Down Your Heart.'
The musicians will include the incredible Bassekou Kouate and Ngoni Ba. Bassekou plays the n'goni, which is the Malian banjo and his facility and improvisational ability is amazing. N'goni Ba is a group with 4 n'gonis, two percussionists and a wonderful singer, Ami Sacko.
Also with us will be Tanzanian musicians Anania Ngoliga (thumb piano/vocals) and John Kitime (guitar/vocals). Those who heard Anania and John on the winter tour can tell you how unbelievable they are."

You can believe Bela when he says Anania and John are unbelievable. It actually looked as if it's hard to stop Anania once he gets started. Amazing live performance, truely.  Thumbs Up

There are also Facebook pages for Bela Fleck and Throw Down You Heart. Look 'em up. I think you'll enjoy the info feed very much!

Thanks for the info! I looked at that site several times but apparently not closely enough!
