I have been an avid basketball player over the years, but in light of my observations of there being far more people who hang out on the grass oval doing a wide variety of activities (during festivals and otherwise) - and not really seeing an excess demand for bball - I question the need pave over yet more grass in town - let alone it being the only non-competitive field in the park.
