Fact! Rookies... Some of us only subscribe to the holiest of scribes, Hippie Jerry  , when it's time to pack for Telluride.
BillyBeru and I have learned the hard way, and the nightmares continue.... 

And for you newbies, one thing I would add to Hippie's list is earplugs, in case you ever want to nap or sleep. It can get a little noisy in the campground. Then again, for many in Town Park
, sleep is optional.

I've never used a tent heater, we've actually never had to use the back-up sleeping bags we bring. Having the down comforter below us with a very heavy wool comforter makes a snuggly bed. We also don't use the tent for anything but sleeping and changing clothes. Hangout time is for the easy-up.

 Fred, whats the small stool for?

We use the stool early during the day as a foot rest and or table.
When it gets crowded near the front we stand on it to get a better view.
It is only 6" high. We are both kind of short.

What about a tent heater?

I have also considered a tent heater but every one indoor safe one I looked into said that it may not operate above 7,000 ft.  Does anybody have first hand experience of using one successfully in Telluride?

We always have extra free ear plugs. Just look for an older guy with white beard wearing cap/shirt with New Orleans Jazz Festival most days in the area between sound board and stage each day.

"older guy with white beard" that might be a difficult one to single out! I'll have to get closer to make out the Jazz Fest gear! We'll search you out. I'll be the guy with a whiteish beard and the hot wife.

Tom, this is the heater we have. How long will a 1lb propane bottle
last set at low heat?
We have 4 1lb bottles, not sure if we will need more.

Not sure about Tom, but in my experience 1 lasts 1-2 nights if left on all night. Gets pretty warm in there with it running all night tho
