As of October 5th, 2010, The Town of Telluride has amended Local Code, Article 7, to include the following,
:green "PROHIBITION ON DISPOSABLE PLASTIC BAGS  :green
:green and Maintaining Certain Standards and a Fee for the Use of Permitted Paper Bags"
  :green

Over the last several years we've all been "encouraged" to take our own bags when we go shopping.
Clap Clap Clap The Town of Telluride for taking this matter to the next level!  Thumbs Up

Don't forget your re-usable shopping bags when you're "Packin' for Telluride"!!!

Good for Telluride.

Thanks for the heads up, Hope Thumbs Up

I always keep a bunch of reusable bags in my Jeep, I'll be sure to leave them in when packing for TBF.

That's awesome!!! I think I might write to my city council to try to get them to do the same thing.
