Hey folks,

I am in a band called The Green Boys based in Richmond, Virginia, we are heading out soon to take part in the Telluride Bluegrass band competition, and since this is our first time coming to the festival, we failed to realize how quickly camping/lodging sells out... Anyhow, I am posting just to see if anyone here might have any ideas on last minute lodging - for example, is it possible to do any primitive camping in nearby National Forest areas? Or if by some miracle if anyone knows of someone who might be willing to offer up a spot to a four-piece band that would be great, we can offer some monetary compensation as well... Any and all ideas would be appreciated!

If you are interested, feel free to check out our recorded music here: www.thegreenboys.bandcamp.com - and our website www.greenboysmusic.com

Thank you,

Sean Green

Not sure what you're looking for, but the Planet still has camping available.  Lawson only requires single-day pass if you're only going in on Saturday.

If you are going to be at the Festival for all 4 days . . . .

There are still 4-day passes available to buy and there is camping at the High School, which is a 'family' camping situation with no alcohol allowed and quiet hours.  That being said, if you are just looking for a place to put up some tents and just basically sleep there, it's not a bad last-minute option - you camp on the baseball field, which is nice grass, flat and level camping.  Somewhat centrally located, a quick bus ride to the fest or even a nice walk into town.  There are showers available in the high school gym in the morning for a few $$ per person.  The $$ goes to support some of the high school clubs or organizations, i think.

I can't offer any lodging, but I'm sure liking your sound.  I look forward to your performances.
