As I'm looking forward to another awesome RG, I find myself wondering about a question I had last year: Why no shuttle service to Longmont and Boulder for locals who can't camp for various reasons? Even if just a few runs early, and late night. Seems that it would relieve the need for a lot of driving; it makes environmental and safety sense, plus the convenience.
It would be about 10 miles to the north end of either towns (park and ride there), so not much different than telluride to Mary E. I, for one, would happily park my bike on the north side and cruise home from there; it's the night ride on the highway that scares the hell outta me...
Is it a cost thing? Maybe just dampening that illusion that we're in another world by connecting to the city? But let's be honest, camping will always sell out, and LOTS of people are gonna make that drive.
Has this ever been talked about? RTD? Or get the Oscar Blues bus headin a school crew!
