Thank you Planet Bluegrass for the 2013 Folks Festival! I thought this was the strongest lineup in years. What made it for me were all the great new acts I hadn't heard before-- Shane Koyczan, Lucious, Seryn, John Butler and Loreena McKennitt in particular. Some of these had unusual instrumentation, which was cool, and others were a hybrid of various genres, which I really like. And we had slam poetry from Shane Koyczan! I hope you continue to take chances and bring in innovative artists next year and future years.
And of course I enjoyed the late night song circles that the Folks Festival is famous for. Although getting woken up by people talking outside my tent at 7am wasn't fun. We need to confine the early risers to their own ghetto. (Just kidding!)
