pickin The stars are aligning perfectly for this to happen. All five guys will be in Telluride on Thursday. There is a small window of opportunity since Anders has to leave Friday night. Come on, folks, let's get the ball rolling on this. Let's make this happen.

So for those who are wondering what this is all about, please allow me to explain. Back in the early 2000's, a Durango, CO band called Broke Mountain Bluegrass Band was made up of the following dudes --- Anders Beck (Greensky Bluegrass), Travis Book (The Infamous Stringdusters), Robin Davis (Waiting On Trial and The RD Unit), Jon Stickley (Jon Stickley Trio), and Andy Thorn (Leftover Salmon). They picked hard, they picked fast, and they just had a lot of fun playing bluegrass music. 2005 saw the guys go on their own separate journey. As you can see, not too shabby.

So who's in? Who wants to see this happen? Wow, what a way to remember the 40th Anniversary...

Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! I knew it was going to happen.......BUT there was no way under the moon, sun, stars, and anything else floating around in the sky that would have opened the door for me to go to GSBG. Too many variable and logistics to work out. I will need to settle for vicariously living through others. Yep, a whole new generation of young festival folk got to sample the awesomeness of Broke Mountain Bluegrass Band while giving the diehards a once in a lifetime glimpse into the past. FESTIVAL!!!!!!!! pickin
