Never been to RockyGrass before- could use general tips/advice.

Hi thanks for stopping by and reading this.  I have never been to Rockygrass or Lyons and would like to come to the festival TO PLAY.  I am an upright bassist new to the area and have heard jamming happens all around rockygrass.  Do I need to have a ticket for the festival for this?  Do I need a certain parking pass, camping pass?  I would like to get a friday and saturday ticket but that seems unlikely at this time, but primarily I'd like to meet some good pickers and great musicians.  Thanks for helping out.

Your best option would be to get an onsite camping pass which comes with the 3day pass.  A lot of the jamming happens after midnight and you need a wristband to get in the campgrounds.
