Congratulations to 2012 RockyGrass Band Contest winners Front Country and fellow finalists Northern Departure (2nd place) and Trout Steak Revival (3rd place)!

no offense to the bands, friends, and those who made the decision, but it seemed to me and those around me when the winners were announced that the order should have been reversed.   I know none of the bands or their members, but Trout Steak kicked ass.

It's also worth noting that Spring Creek won the Telluride contest in 2007, as well. The only band to win both in the same year. Possibly to only band to win both, period, but I'm not 100% on that . . .
