NEW CARPOOLING SERVICE FOR FOLKS FEST!

Hello all you Folks Festival people!

I wanted to let you know about a service we're trying out with our new friends at "Ridaroo".

Essentially, it works like a social media type service that is specifically geared towards hitching a ride to a specific place, in this case, The Planet Bluegrass Ranch during the Song School/ Folks Festival time frame.

Head over to: http://folksfestival.ridaroo.com and create a profile.

The Passkey is: folksfestival11 (no space)

The passkey helps to ensure that everyone signing up has a legitimate reason for doing so...

Create your profile: add a picture, let folks know if you're driving or riding, where you're coming from, etc...

I truly hope you'll find this service helpful in finding a way to reduce your carbon imprint, and that you make a friend or 6!

Hey D--Thanks for sharing. I signed up. I'm looking for a ride from Denver airport up to Lyons on Aug 19th at 3pm.

I'm not sure how well this site is going to work out...I have no idea who will see my message, I can't search for other rides.

But if anyone sees this message ("old school" style...that is, right here on the message board) and is offering a ride up, I'd be your glad companion.

Howdy, Have signed up with rideroo...well...it does let me tell you that I am leaving from Marin County on Friday, although am listed as leaving from Oakhurst (south of Yosemite), it doesn't let me tell you that I am taking the scenic route along I-70, hoping to arrive on Monday morning early to set up camp. I can pick someone up along the way to help with the gas expense. My ride is listed as leaving from Oakhurst because I'll be visiting a friend...this is flexible...
I'd rather drive with someone and would like to drive in the cooler parts of the days...and make like a lizard during the heat. Realistically, I can seat one person and their camping gear. It would be especially delightful if you know someone who lives along I-70 where we can camp for a night on the way.

I registered for the carpooling service but still want to put out there that i need transportation for the entire weekend from Boulder! I would be down to camp if it was all chill, but I am volunteering so I need to be there everyday....
