On site camping question--first timer and alone.

Very excited to attend my first festival of this type anywhere. I am coming alone and have an on site camping pass. I missed out on the car passes (sold out before I realized I needed one). My question is, how do I get my gear inside to set up without my car? Do I park out side and is it a short distance? Is there other camping options available still where I could bring my truck camper instead? I am nervous about showing up woefully unprepared for the situation. Please help.

You will be allowed to drive into the campground to drop off your gear and set up your camp.  Then you will have to move your truck to the offsite parking lot.  The folks at the gate will explain it all to you.  Have a great time, stop by the big Coleman pop up and say hi!

For on-site camping, line up your vehicle at Bohn park.  At 6:00pm the whole line moves over to Planet Bluegrass.  If you haven't read the vehicle line policy, go to PB site, FolksFest, Info, Guidelines.

When you enter the PB driveway, there will be people to direct you.
There are two on-site camping areas. 

If you turn left after entering the driveway, you will go down an access road to the TENTS ONLY campground.  It is a nice little campground near the river with lots of trees.  It's kind of behind the stage and you can hear the music at your camp.  The downside is that you have to wait in line quite a while because there are only so many parking spots at the end of the road.  Once you reach the end, someone will direct you to a parking spot.  Grab your tarp and go into the camping area and grab your camping spot.  Note that this is not camping where you have a lot of personal space.  Fit in where you can, you will be right next to your neighbors.  Once you've unloaded your gear, take your vehicle back down the access road and park at Bohn park.  You can walk back or there is a shuttle.

If you go straight after entering the PB driveway, you will go to the main on-site campground.  It is for tents and/or vehicles.  It is larger and easier to park right at your chosen spot.  Tarp your spot, unload your gear and then take your vehicle to Bohn.  Chose your spot quickly, it's kind of a mad rush.

Keep an eye open on the forum for vehicle passes for sale.  You might find one and then can have your camper.

I was totally confused the first year we went.  We still got a good camp spot, even though it was a bit close to the portapotties.
