I also think that Jean Luc Ponty could make some heads explode.

Well, you missed him. It was 5, 6 years ago and he was with Stanley Clarke and Bela Fleck and my head did explode.  huh

Lots and lots of really good suggestions!

It seems as though PB spreads out the love amongst their four fests with little duplication between.  Some notable exceptions (Tim, Sam, Peter) of course. But Grisman, Darol Anger, Del McCoury, and Steve Martin are all booked at Rocky Grass.  That kind of leads me to believe they won't be at TBF.

I'd be happy to be proven wrong.

Oh, I didn't miss him.  I just finally got around to getting the pieces all put back together again, so it seems as though it is time for another explosion! Sunshine

Allison Kraus would be a awesome treat, especially a sit in with Good ol' Mr. Plant. But I would love to see another Minnesota band, Pert Near Sandstone. Really good stuff, if you haven't heard of them. But I bet you guys have.  Here is a video, kind of bad quality, but good sound. Hope you all enjoy.  Cheers

Pertnear Sandstone is entered in the troubadour contest. I just recently spoke to J and they are super excited to be joining their MN bluegrass brotherhood, Trampled By Turtles.  Thumbs Up

But I would really LOVE to see Gillian Welch return with Dave Rawlings. Since their good friends, Old Crow will be there. And I'm dreaming of a Larry Keel and McGraw Gap reunion. I doubt either will happen, but oh well.    :)

I'm glad Pert' Near Sandstone is playing in the band contest, but I think they only get 3 songs or something?  Have to follow them around as I'm sure they'll be playing a bunch somewhere....

Saw the Dave Rawlings Machine last year at Delfest (with Gillian Welch) and it was really good.  Pretty mellow, which usually isn't my style, but really good.  It would be fun to see them with Old Crow.

The lineup is pretty stacked already, but one more sweet band could never hurt!
