I jsut read how the tarp line works at Folks Fest, with numbers RANDOMLY given out at a random time during the night so everyone has an equal shot at #1.  Did that work?  Sure sounds civilized!

John,

That's the same system they use for Rocky Grass. Go to the RG board and read the rants posted there and see what you think. It's a good way to do the line, in theory, but usually what happens is that mob rule takes over and "civilized" is the last thing that comes to mind during the scuffle for random numbers, at least during RG.

I continue to support the current TBF line policy, but logistics and location make that type of line policy impossible in Lyons.
