Hello hope you all are doing well.  I saved my tickets from 2020 to come in 2021, first timer!  I am starting to search for lodging for June 2021 for the TBF.  I just booked a place and then the vrbo owner said "If there is no bluegrass festival next year you can rent the condo. If we do have a festival the condo will be rented to the company as always. I work for the event and staff stays there". So I will lose this booking if TBF happens.  I am hesitant to tent/camp because we are flying from PA and wont be there early enough to secure a good spot nor have camping equipment.

Anyone have suggestions on lodging accommodations for June 18-21, 2021?

While we camp for festival, Alpine Lodging has been a reliable company for booking our other stays in Telluride. Might be worth a search or call. https://www.telluridelodging.com/

Camping is the way to go! If at all possible plan to have more time off and drive. Getting there before the festival gives you time to check out town, hiking, and relaxing in camp without missing music. I understand not everyone has the luxury of time, but if you do its well worth it. Mary E campground is right on the river in a beautiful valley secluded, and Lawson is just at the edges of town on a sports field, both will be filled full of fun people. Town Park and Warner are best being on site, but it might be tough scoring those. Seems like there's always lodging available up on the mountain with a free Gondola ride down into town.

Let's just hope we get some control over this pandemic and actually have a festival next year!

Crossing fingers for 2021..   I kept my lodging at Manitou for '21. Alpine Lodging is definitely great to work with. Locally owned and customer service is 100%.   I've stayed at Manitou for weekend trips (I'm only a couple of hours away) and once or twice for festival.  After camping and freezing in 2019 I wimped out and booked a place :)   Manitou is definitely "old Telluride". Nothing fancy but the price is not crazy and location is insanely good. It's a place to sleep and super cozy.  They manage a ton of properties, so chances are there will be something that fits your needs.   Low deposit required and lots of flexibility until things get figured out.
