I have a couple of friends who have never been to Telluride before, will be in the area, and wanted to see if they could somehow find a way to go to the festival on Friday. I can work on tickets to the fest, but I'm not sure what they should do about camping. They have a pull-behind trailer, so they can't camp in Lawson Hill. They'll only have a single day ticket, so they can't camp in Mary E. I've heard about people going to other campgrounds nearby, but where are those? Are they going to be too late to get a spot? And how do they get into town to go to the festival? Do they park up in Mountain Village and take the gondi down? I've always camped in Town Park, so I'm clueless.

Thanks for any info, y'all!

Do a google search for "camping near Telluride" and it will show you a number of places not too far away.
You'll just have to leave the trailer in camp, drive to Mountain Village to park, and take the gondola down to the festival.
Good Luck. Thumbs Up
