Why doesn't Rockygrass attempt some Nightgrass?

There are some bars in Lyons that could definitely host some smaller-ish bands.  have they ever attempted a Nightgrass in Lyons?

Onsite camping is Nightgrass on steroids. 

They have done Saturday night moongrass in the Wildflower. 

To me the culture of RG is more about joining picks and staying up late getting tarp run numbers.  a Nightgrass scenario would get in the way of that for me. 

The Pizza Bar does have some late night shows if memory serves.

TheLorax speaks truth. Though, I remember seeing a Blue Canyon Boys show at Oskar Blues during academy, so it's certainly not out of the question. But the pickin' during RG is off-the-hook. If you don't play, you can easily walk around the onsite until you find a pick you enjoy and hunker down and watch.

There have been some killer MoonGrass shows in the past put on by Planet Bluegrass.  They have generally been unannounced until you show up.  The last couple years have been less of my cup of tea.

There should be more going on after the main stage closes down. That would be a nice change.

There's already some of the best stuff going on after the main stage ends.....campground picking, sometimes with the folks who were on stage!    To me that is the golden lining of Rockygrass and it's the heart of bluegrass.   Real music being made by real people in an intimate setting.
