The simple answer is yes. I toured it last night and all of Phase 1 is finished which means it is ready to host the Festival and what the public will see looks finished.

Phase 2 to be completed by next year will finish off the lower( basement level). While this was not to be part of phase 1, through donations from various parties, 4 of the rooms are finished with dry wall so there are 4 rooms available for staff and artist. ( I can only imagine the spontaneous jam sessions that will take place down there as various artist get together while hanging out) The bathrooms/ showers and full detailed finish will be done by next year. Also in phase 2 is a widening of the area behind the stage which will include a retaining wall to make access and turn arounds much easier. Another phase 2 addition will be the hospitality building which will be wired and plumbed for catering although no equipment will be in the building as each event will lease what they need and have it brought in.

The stage that will be viewed will look much the same but the area most people won't see is much larger and will provide the crews and acts a great deal of space to move equipment.  Details like having loading docs at the right height for the trailers loading in and out equipment have been thought out as well as tracks built into the stage floor for temporary sliding walls to create more of an intimate setting. There is an ADA compliant elevator that services all 3 levels. Lots of other details as well that through interviews with production people where put in place to make it as pro as it could be within the budget.

It is a fantastic building with a lot of thought put into it from what I can see and should provide both the Festival staff and the Artist and much nicer and productive facility to use for many years to come.

That is good news. Maybe we can get a chance to check it out before the festival starts. They did carry over the sign that hangs above and reads "Telluride ## "Bluegrass and Country" Music Festival", right?

I am pretty sure that sign belongs to Planet Bluegrass so I would expect that you will see it again as usual. As for checking it out before the Fest I have no idea although everything is now keyed and locked other than the actual stage.

Sneak peek at the bottom of the story....

I love the new towers on the sides.  If Red Knuckles ever plays there, that's where the go-go dancers will be.

The photo of the new stage is interesting but not quite wide enough to show me running in with my tarp.  I have a great spot so I hope I don't have to move.
