This post is a bit more on-topic than my last one. Have not heard anyone comment on the news that Chris Thile is taking over for Garrison Keillor as host of Prairie Home Companion on PBS. I think that is a great opportunity for him, and for the music community in general.

This post is a bit more on-topic than my last one. Have not heard anyone comment on the news that Chris Thile is taking over for Garrison Keillor as host of Prairie Home Companion on PBS. I think that is a great opportunity for him, and for the music community in general.

As a big fan of all these awesome artists, and a resident of the Twin Cities, I'm a big fan of this announcement.
Although I sure hope he keeps the Fitzgerald Theater PHC's home!  (probably more shows in NYC?)
Also, it would be cool to have Sara do more "guest hosting" for, and/or with Chris. (More impromptu Nickel Creek sightings?)
The music on this new version should be incredible, IMHO...
