We had to miss the 'tweener from the TBF Troubadour contest winner.  Anyone know the winner's name and hometown?

Taken from HeyReverb...

This year’s Troubadour Contest winner, Caitlyn Canty of Vermont, got to play a 15-minute set while the stage crew setup for Lake Street Dive. Canty won a Shanti guitar in addition to her main stage performance, which included three songs from her new CD, “Reckless Skyline,” opening with “My Love For You Will Not Fade” and showing visible happiness while playing “Enough About Hard Times.”

She was pretty great...

I watched the contest at Elk Park and thought the judges ended up with the right winner but the first round results were skewed. Caitlyn did a really good job in the second round. After the first, I thought Hadley might win but Caitlyn topped her in second round. It looked like Nick and Helen Forrester were judges for that round.

The second round was all female and they excluded a really good male songwriter/performer in favor of a couple females who were not up to that level, not sure why. Brennan Mackey's song Gasoline has a good hook and he deserved to be in the finals.

Judges for band contest got it right with Lil Smokies. They were hot. The surprise for me was Running out of Road from Durango. I had not heard of them and was very impressed.
