And a belated "welcome!" to you, Gibson1!

Funny you converted to bluegrass from country.  Thanks to bluegrass, I'm listening to more "country" music than ever after converting from "jam bands."

Not the Nashville-style "pop country," of course, but more like "real"* country music (Blasters, Bottle Rockets, Derailers, Louvin Brothers, Son Volt, Buck Owens, etc).

*  "real" in this case means, "as defined by me"  Wink

So come on in and join the fest - I predict you'll have a great time getting to know the Festivarian spirit!

Love the disclaimer, Bevin!  LOL  I do love me some fake country.

Seriously, country radio was/is my first love, but it's also what got me to bluegrass. Welcome to the mix!

You all had way more logical transitions than I did. I came to bluegrass after being a die hard metalhead . . .

And real country is excellent! I highly recommend you check out Corb Lund, Hayes Carl, and my favorite country-ish band The Dead Winter Carpenters!

I love that Corb Lund song "Classic Antique Pistol Shoots Startled Owner."  He's an amazing songwriter!
