Hello folks,

I'm from Brazil and I really love bluegrass, but we don't have bluegrass banjos here and importing is very expensive.
Since I have some relatives in the US for the month, I was wondering if you guys know of some website that sells nice banjos.
I wanna buy one and ship to where they're staying so they can bring me.

I wanted something like like U$250~330, and a resonator that could be convertible to an open back.
I know most of them can be converted, but the ones I saw, when in open back mode, they had those metal points surrounding the body going beyond the wooden line, which means they might actually hurt my chest/belly when I'm playing. I'm pretty sure some banjos don't have that problem, but I just can't seem to find them!

Can you guys help me? Thank you

That's going to be awfully hard to get for that price.  You could look at a Deering Goodtime openback and possibly buy a resonator that you can put on/remove relatively easily, but again, not for that price.  A Goodtime starts just a little higher than that.  http://www.deeringbanjos.com/catalog/category/view/id/10
