Sorry, guess a few of us are in a natural half-life decay............................................... huh

Feel free to debate away, Kathy. I'm not trying to suppress you.

Excuse me while I remove myself from this topic, whip up a batch of Crunchy Frog and pass out from too much taste testing.

ps Here is the thread from 2008 on this topic for those who want to roll up their sleeves and get dirty: http://www.festivarian.com/index.php/topic,3768.0.html

It's been about 10 years since the Pastor graced the stage at TBF . . . I am certain that many, if not most, people on this board have no idea who Pastor Mustard is . . .

Thanks for the thread........re-reading it I now remember reading it back then.  Actually, I was just thinking it would be fun for the 40th to have PM MC.  That's all................

Well I don't think he was performing his schtick at the 35th... Which unfortunately was our last go round till this year...

As I recall, a little mustard went along way, but that undoubtedly goes for me too, at least for some! Evil

This will be my first time Telluride. I only know Pastor Mustard from Sam's Ice Caps cd. He sounds like a pretty good dude. Any friend of Sam is a friend of mine. "More fun then a barrel of monkeys"

Here's what my whole group of 15+ people generally thought about the pastor....He was funny, he was knowledgable, and he sure liked to talk. I like it much better the way it is now. We're listening to 4 days of music here, so I don't need the Pastor to fill up quiet time with talkin and talkin and talkin...I'd rather use that precious 15 minutes to talk about the last set, ask for a beer or just look around, in relative silence.
But if they ever do decide to add another more permanent announcer, my vote goes to Benny (Burl) Galloway. Quick, to the point and damn, that twang accent helps get my attention too!

Ya know, the Pastor kinda got on my nerves sometimes with some of the off the wall stuff he'd come up with...  But I miss him now  Frown

I guess I just want what I can't have!  giggle
