Anyone from PB in here to give some advice? Ms. Marie brings up a GREAT IDEA...thank you so much Ms. Marie for actively contributing to the discussion. This is exactly what I was looking for when I started this thread. I was worried it was going to digress into the "I've attended the festival every year since it started" entitlement talk. So greatly appreciate the GOOD IDEA!
Now to the question for PB: If I were to purchase a ticket that was previously emailed, could I switch the ticket to will call? As part of that switch, could I get a confirmation that the electronic ticket is no longer valid and only the will call ticket remains valid? Or will the electronic ticket still be usable?
Is PB willing to sit in on 3-way calls to accomplish cancelling electronic tickets and reissuing the same tickets at will call? Will this be an option or are we left to trust alone? I feel this is the ONLY SAFE route to go...Festi-references or not. I don't want to walk up to PB volunteer to scan my ticket I rightfully paid for in the aftermarket only to have them tell me...that ticket is no longer valid it looks like it was already scanned...
Sorry Erick. I hadn't replied to this thread simply because we've been over this a couple of times already on the forum.
In short, yes.
Ms. Marie's comment below is pretty spot on.
There is some trust to be had with this system, but there was before too. If you stick to the forum I doubt you'd have too many issues. I sold my extra tickets by putting them in the buyer's name for will call. They called PB and double check it was really in their name and paid me. So, as the seller I was willing to take the leap of faith they'd actually pay me (and of course they did!).
If you want to buy from a stranger, do a three-way call to PB and have the ticket put at will call in your name (it takes about 1 minute to do this). Anyone who isn't willing to do that isn't someone you want to buy from.
In fact, we encourage you to call us and secure your ticket at will call. it's the only way to truly ensure the ticket you're purchasing is yours. Anyone not willing to spend a couple of minutes to do this for you should immediately send up a red flag.
D.
Thank you Dustin for the information and sound advice! Very much appreciate your help on the matter and kudos to PB for stepping up to the plate to help with these transfers etc.
