Sorry if this has already been posted, but can someone please explain to me how we are supposed to buy town park tickets from third parties this year if they are all EMAIL/PRINT OUT tickets???  Hopefully I was told wrong, but apparently the lottery winners either have email or will call options only, no HARD TICKETS???

Please tell me this isn't true and there will still be hard tickets available.  Otherwise, how in the world is anyone going to be comfortable giving $295 to someone in exchange for a piece of paper that can easily be worthless if reproduced?

Surely Planet Bluegrass thought of this inevitable disaster????

Any tickets purchased from anyone you don't know should be switched to Will Call.

This is the ONLY way to ensure that the ticket you are purchasing is yours.

If someone isn't willing to do that for you, (a 2 minute conversation with us in the office to switch the ticket to your name) RUN AWAY.

It might be worth making a similar post in the ticket exchange. A lot of people only use that part of the forum, I've found.

Thanks Dustin- that answers a major concern I had.. Now, how many tickets can one person have under their name at will- call?

.. to dovetail on DebbiefromTucson's inquiry .. Can you highlight the rules for ticket purchases, Dustin?  What is the max tix one can attempt to purchase in a transaction?  Is PB tracking IPs and/or PII (Personally Identifiable Information) on purchasers to prevent them from making multiple purchases with different credit cards (anti-skalping technology)?

Inquiring minds want to know if advanced IT measures are in place to prevent script-kiddy ne'er-do-wells from being able to make mass-purchases and then attempt to sell them on stub-hub and the like to those that aren't aware of the forum.

Thanks in advance for any insights provided.

I do know that Planet Bluegrass does not accept more than two lottery entries per household (address) with a maximum of 4 Town Park/Warner Field and 1 vehicle pass request per entry. Thumbs Up

That pretty much puts a damper on the script kiddy ne'er-do-wells, but it will not stop corporates like stub-hub from hiring multiple brokers to purchase for them.
They do what they can to stop scalping but it's near impossible to totally eliminate it. Wave

Once the tickets have left Planet Bluegrass hands they have no control over how many people buy from various individuals so the sky is the limit there.

Thanks for the additional info, Tom!  You brought up a good point about stubhub and the like hiring private entities to purchase tix for them.  Hopefully the Email or Will-call only system will help deter the impacts of those activities.  I just hope that the PB servers will be able to handle the monumental demand that will no doubt be experienced the moment the tix go on sale.

Look forward to seeing you again at the next TBF (if I'm able to get tix).
