When we returned home from TBF, I received my acceptance letter from CSU for Grad School. I'm not sure if anyone on here can help, but it's worth a try! Chris, my teenage daughter, and I will be moving to Fort Collins, CO in the next month. Unfortunately, we are having a difficult time finding a house to rent there, due to the recent fires and displacement of many people in the area. Basically, if anyone knows of any rental properties, or "landlords' that we can connect with, that would be an awesome help! Here's the difficult part: we need a place that has (preferably) 3 bedrooms, that is a single family home, and that will allow pets, 3 chickens, and for me to grow food in a garden - all for under $950/mo. The Loveland, Bellvue, Laporte, and Wellington areas are okay too - just NOT IN WELD COUNTY! Like I said, I don't know if anyone can help, but it's worth a try!!! I'd rather rent from someone in the FestiFamily than not!!!! :) Thanks!!!

Aww, thanks Cindy Lou!!! I am stoked about school but really bummed about leaving Gunni - this is home, but I will return after I get all those papers that say I've been educated enough to be a prof at Western!! I'll be here for another month if you stop through though!!!!  Wave

Hi Zoe! Yay, congratulations!! Medal We're finally making the move up there too, on the first (2 days after RG, ugh...). Been looking for places from longmont to foco, and I feel your pain. I can think of only one place that we saw that was under 1000 and set up that way, but it was way small and we didn't get the best vibe from the landlord. Link here Small, but a storage basement, and HUGE back lot with fruit trees, grapes, tons of extra storage, and a GIANT chicken coop setup. Funky, but u might be able to make it work. From Longmont It's an hour bus ride on the Flex (paid by CSU of course) and this place was on the 287 bus line.

Unfortunately without looking at *gulp* weld county * It's gonna be super tough to get all that in that range out here. We are looking for the exact same thing but settling for 2 BR, and its all in the 1000-1200 range.  if it's possible it would probably be in longmont, loveland, or berthoud. Usually Laporte would be a good option for that kind of spot, but between school starting and the high park people it's crazy.

I've got boots on the ground, so I'll keep an eye out and send the word to our pals up north. I'm looking at a place today that erin loved, so we're finally hopeful. Lucky for us we're traveling in august so if it doesn't work we'll store our stuff and crash with friends in boulder upon return until we find something.

If it gets down to the wire are you considering coming out and Chris staying at first? Maybe we could find u a place to crash until the right place turns up. Another option might be adding a roommate? I know a guy who lost his house in the fire who'd probly consider that.

Good luck and call me! - Jer

Great news on your acceptance, but we were really counting on stayin' at your house to ski CB this winter!  Please advise!

Thank you!! Well, officially, just yesterday, we signed a lease on a house in Loveland!! It's a cute little house, but gives us MOST of what we needed! I had to find a new home for my chickens (and I did, a very good home too), but all else seemed to work out! I'll be over in a week and a half for good, and Chris will be over around the end of the month - that way he can finish working here! Let us know when ya'll find a place, and we can get together!!!! Pretty excited to move, but scared of livin in the city again! :) Gunni was a fabulous little microcosm that made me forget what the real world was like!! Sure going to miss it, but we are looking forward to our front range friends being closer and SO MUCH MORE MUSIC!!!! YAY!!!!!

haha - Thanks John! Well, we'll all just have to find a place to stay at when ski season comes around! We are planning on coming back for opening day - Drew usually plays for free on that day! Can't miss that!!! It's going to be a BIG change! But now we'll just have to ski Eldora, I guess??

Nice!  Thumbs Up you're having better luck than us, unfortunately...we'll re-evaluate in September. Sorry u had to part with the chick's, but congrats on the new place! Are u gonna be here this weekend? we're having some people over for Rockygrass and a final hodown at our lefthand pad if you aren't busy unpacking... Looking forward to hanging with you guys soon!

PS. trading Crested Butte for Eldo sounds painful,  :sorry  but on the upside the college pass is only $150!
