While I don't share Doc's belief system I am certain that he is getting a great deal of comfort and peace from his faith right now and that is a very good thing.

I agree.
 An article I just found... Yes,  Doc is ready to leave this world even if we would rather he stick around for a long time. However,  I think he is worried about RosaLee though.  He cried at Merlefest when Johnny C sang a song for her... one that she always requested. Seeing Doc at Merlefest this year was certainly an emotional experience for so many of us who watched him struggle and realized how frail he had become in the past year.

Listened to Doc on the way into work this morning....it's so true, you don't miss your water till your well runs dry! RIP Doc and thanks for bringing the music home to my soul!

With the passing of so many Bluegrass Legends it is important for our young progressive Bluegrass players to remember and honor this raw, traditional type of Bluegrass. Holdin the line for our Icons in Bluegrass. Doc will stand the test of time for many many years to come we will speak his name and hear his voice. I will never forget him and I am lucky to have seen and heard him live. RIP Doc and Thank you.

I'm listening to Doc today, but it got me wondering, what are your favorite Doc albums.  I'm kind of partial to the original Doc Watson, Three Pickers, and Docabilly, then there are just so many best ofs...

Don't be sad, for Doc it's just the next level of life. Rejoice he had a wonderful life filled with love and music. A special light that many of us got to see. Not to often one person can effect so many in a good way  and all at once.
