BTW, anyone seen the backpack chairs with WOODEN arm rests lately.. My older one is starting to get a bit worn out but the plastic handled ones just don't last well..

Swander, those chairs are cool.....however after a few Fat Tires Hic! Cheers....they tend be effected by Gravity Storms! I know it is always operator error....or the fact that I have been grossly over served but I have a problem staying in those damn things! At least its not a long fall! Pirate

Thumbs Up The "tipiness" can be useful for festivarians that can't stand up well, for whatever reason. It's not the easiest chair to get up from. But imho, it's the most comfy for festivation/napping.

Wow those are some pretty swanky chairs alright!   While I'm sure they are made in china my local sam's club had some decent low chairs for 19.99.  Brand name was nautica and they were by all the camping gear.  Didn't do all the cool stuff those others did but if you're cheap like me well I thought I'd pass that along.   Have a good weekend  Cheers

REI outlet has great deals.  Just bought this lowback chair http://www.rei.com/product/842841/travelchair-french-cut-chair-2011-closeout and it was $23 after the discount.  AND, the best thing about REI, if you don't like the chair, they will take it back 100% guaranteed.

cheers,
stine

Without reading every post in this thread.. remember.. tall chairs are permitted in the back half of the field.. the low back are only required for the areas that are in front of the big sandwich signs that say something about chair size and beyond this point.

and believe me with that speaker system, hearing the music is NOT an issue anywhere in the area of the festival grounds.

Be comfortable in the chair you like and choose your place to sit accordingly.

Ohhh chairs who needs a stinkin chair when you got the music in ya dancing. Just kidding, been tempted to buy an unbrella chair as a point of ref instead of a tarp, lighten up the load this year. So many new types of shade chairs and smaller shade pop ups... humm and just when you thought you had everything Fest you could possibly imagine LOL
