Stan frequented many of the Front Range bluegrass jams for years.  His banjo and guitar playing, sweet singing, and warm spirit will be missed by all.   I can still hear him singing "Rollin' in my Sweet Baby's Arms" right across from me in many a jam...

From the Boulder Daily Camera:

Stan Nord Connolly
1937 - 2007

Stan Nord Connolly of Boulder passed away at Presbyterian St. Luke's
Hospital in Denver on February 11, 2007, of a brain aneurism. He was
69.

He was born in St. Paul, MN, on July 21, 1937 to Iris Nord and Stanley
Connolly. The family later moved to Billings, MT, where Stan grew up
and graduated from high school. The family then moved to Boulder where
Stan graduated from the University Of Colorado School Of Architecture
in June 1963.

Stan met his wife, Barbara Seibel, of Detroit, MI, in Boulder. There
were married in 1973 and shared many interesting and rewarding years
together as Stan practiced architecture at his own firm.

Stan was a talented and creative architect and achieved national
recognition for his innovative use of polyurethane foam in building
houses. He designed a number of homes and commercial buildings in the
Boulder area as well as several other states. Stan's career was
inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright; and one of his and Barb's greatest
pleasures was to visit FLW homes around the country, even spending a
week at a FLW designed cottage in Wisconsin one summer. Stan also
enjoyed bluegrass music. He was accomplished at guitar and banjo and
enjoyed participating in jam sessions and attending bluegrass
festivals. Stan was a member of the American Institute of Architects
for many years, held a certification from the National Council of
Architecture Registration Boards, and was a member of the Colorado
Bluegrass Music Society.

Stan in survived by his wife, Barbara; a brother, Guy Connolly of
Lakewood, CO; a brother, Curtis Connolly of Spokane, WA; a brother,
Brian Connolly of Caldwell, ID; and a sister, Iris Williams of
Boulder, CO.

A celebration of Stan's life will be held in the spring. Cremation
will take place at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory. Please visit
www.ahlbergfuneralchapel.com to leave condolences for the family
