wanting a tent only spot, but traveling with friends with a camper

sorry to be complex here, but we are travelling with friends with a camper who are already in line for a spot.  we will be coming to the festival with them and have 2 camping tickets, but we want to be in the tent only spot.  can we ride in with them, and then walk to set up our tents in the tent only area, or will we have to wait?  this is our 5th year camping, but never under this scenario...and want to make sure we are following the rules.

You can walk to the tent only camping area, but someone will be there to advise you as to when you can go in to set up.

There is certainly a "delay" in when you can go in on foot relative to the cars and the numbers.
