Hi all,
I have a general question. Can I play bluegrass on a 6 string banjo?
Thanks

IMHO and not being over philosophical here.
Bluegrass like any other style takes some effort but played from your heart and I've seen kids playing Cheez-It boxes with 1 string that had heart. And yes I know quite a few people, 1 being my bro-n-law, Play rather well with the rest of the crew. Not heavy Scruggs, mind you, mostly flatpicking however a few rolls or tossed in there. Play around with it some may like it some may not. Oh well
Just remember at worst your doing it for you and that proverbial porch you'll find yourself sitting on one day the rocking chair nor the squirrels will really care if it's got five or six
